How do I start the free trial?
Open Hype PDF and choose any Pro feature to open the Hype PDF Pro window. Pick Weekly or Monthly and click Start 7-Day Free Trial. If you’re eligible, you won’t be charged until the trial ends, and not at all if you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
How do I restore my subscription on another Mac or after reinstalling?
Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account. Then open the Hype PDF Pro window (for example, by choosing any Pro feature) and click Restore Purchases.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the App Store on your Mac, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click Account Settings, then click Manage next to Subscriptions and choose Hype PDF. You can also go to System Settings › [your name] › Media & Purchases › Subscriptions › Manage, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial or current period ends to avoid the next charge. Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Hype PDF processes everything on your Mac and has no servers of its own. It doesn’t collect analytics or any personal data. Read the Privacy Policy.
Does OCR work without an internet connection?
Yes. Text recognition uses Apple’s Vision technology, which runs on your Mac. No internet connection is needed.
Why does edited text sometimes use a different font?
Hype PDF reuses the font embedded in the PDF. Many PDFs embed only the characters they actually use, so if you type a character that isn’t included, Hype PDF uses the closest matching system font for that character.
How do I permanently remove sensitive information?
Use the Redact tool to mark the areas, then choose Apply Redactions and save the document. Applied redactions remove the marked content from the file for good. Editing text changes what the page shows, so use redaction whenever information must be removed completely.
Are signatures made with Hype PDF legally binding?
Hype PDF places an image of the signature you draw or import onto the page. It isn’t a certificate-based digital signature. Whether a document signed this way is accepted depends on the applicable law and on the person or organization you send it to.
Where are my signatures stored?
Only on your Mac, inside Hype PDF’s private app container. You can delete them at any time in the Signatures window.
