Terms of Use
The rules for using Hype PDF and Hype PDF Pro, including how subscriptions, free trials, renewals and cancellations work.

1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the Hype PDF app for macOS (“Hype PDF” or “the app”) and to Hype PDF Pro subscriptions, provided by HYPERSE SOFTWARE LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Hype PDF is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails. Purchases are also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
By downloading or using Hype PDF, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. The app and Hype PDF Pro
Hype PDF runs on Macs with macOS 14 Sonoma or later and is free to download. With the free version you can open, read and search PDFs; highlight, underline and strike through text; draw freehand and add shapes, notes, text boxes and stamps; fill in forms; rotate pages; and save and print.
Hype PDF Pro adds: editing existing text in the document’s original embedded font; adding text, images and links; signatures; text recognition (OCR); converting and exporting to other formats; merging and splitting; compression; password protection; permanent redaction; watermarks; organizing pages (inserting, deleting, reordering, extracting, duplicating and cropping); Find & Replace; and creating PDFs from other files, such as Word documents, spreadsheets and images.
We may improve, change or add features over time.
3. Hype PDF Pro subscriptions
3.1 Plans and prices
Hype PDF Pro is offered as auto-renewable subscriptions in the “Hype PDF Pro” subscription group. Both plans unlock the same Pro features.

Prices can differ by country or region and are shown in your local currency in the app and on the App Store before you confirm a purchase. Any applicable taxes are handled by Apple.
3.2 Payment
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends.
3.3 Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically for the same period (one week or one month) unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of your plan at that time.
3.4 Free trial
New subscribers may get a 7-day free trial. The trial is an introductory offer available once per Apple Account in the Hype PDF Pro subscription group: if you have already used a trial or subscribed to either plan, you won’t be eligible again. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial automatically converts into a paid subscription to the plan you selected, and you will be charged its price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
3.5 Managing and cancelling
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings:
- In the App Store on your Mac, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click Account Settings, then click Manage next to Subscriptions.
- Or go to System Settings › [your name] › Media & Purchases › Subscriptions › Manage.
- Or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
If you cancel, you keep Hype PDF Pro until the end of the current paid period (or of the free trial), and you won’t be charged again. Deleting Hype PDF does not cancel your subscription.
3.6 Switching plans
You can switch between the weekly and monthly plans in the same settings. Depending on the change, Apple applies it immediately or at your next renewal date, and shows you the details before you confirm.
3.7 Price changes
If the price of your subscription changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
3.8 Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple, so we can’t issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds are subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law.
3.9 Restoring purchases
Your subscription is linked to your Apple Account, so you can use Hype PDF Pro on your Macs that are signed in to the App Store with that account. After reinstalling Hype PDF, or on another Mac, click Restore Purchases in the Hype PDF Pro window.
4. Your documents
You keep all rights to your documents and their content. Hype PDF processes them locally on your Mac, and we don’t receive them (see our Privacy Policy).
You are responsible for the documents you open, edit, sign, convert or share, and for having the right to do so. Keep a backup of important documents before editing them; using Save As leaves the original file unchanged.
5. Signatures
Signatures you add with Hype PDF are drawings or images placed on the page. They are not certificate-based digital signatures and don’t use a digital certificate or cryptographic seal. Whether a document signed this way is accepted depends on the applicable law and on the person or organization you send it to.
You are responsible for signing only documents you are authorized to sign, and only with your own signature.
6. Editing, redaction and passwords
- Editing text changes what the page shows. If you need to be sure information is permanently removed from a file, for example before sharing it, use the Redact tool and Apply Redactions, then check the saved file.
- Applied redactions permanently remove the marked content from the document. Once the file is saved, this can’t be undone, so review the result before sharing.
- Password protection uses Apple’s built-in PDF encryption. We can’t see or recover your passwords, so if you forget a password we can’t help you open the file.
7. Conversions
Converting PDFs to other formats (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images and text) and creating PDFs from other files is designed to preserve your content, but layout, fonts and formatting may differ from the original, especially in complex documents. Check converted files before relying on them.

8. Acceptable use
Don’t use Hype PDF to break the law or to infringe the rights of others, for example to forge documents or signatures, to commit fraud, or to remove protections from documents you are not authorized to open or change. Don’t reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app except as permitted by the Standard EULA or applicable law.
9. Updates and availability
We work to keep Hype PDF reliable and up to date, but we can’t promise that it will always be error-free or available without interruption. We may release updates from time to time.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hype PDF is provided “as is” and “as available”, and our liability is limited as described in the Standard EULA. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
11. Apple
These Terms are between you and HYPERSE SOFTWARE LTD, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Hype PDF or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Standard EULA and may enforce it against you.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law that governs the Standard EULA. This does not take away the protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Türkiye.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when we change the app or our subscriptions. We’ll post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Changes don’t affect a subscription period you have already paid for.
